Vietnamese Culture and Science Association is proud to present Viet Cultural Festival, a cultural project initiated by a group of young Vietnamese-American Houstonians, in our effort to preserve and further promote the Vietnamese culture to the mainstream community. The intention of this event is to become an annual tradition attracting people from all cultures and backgrounds in Houston and its vicinities while celebrating the vibrant, rich diversity of Houston and simultaneously highlighting the beauty of the Vietnamese culture. Viet Cultural Festival is the very first youth-led initiative designed as a celebration of the Vietnamese culture in the spirit of sharing it with the greater Houston community marketed towards Houstonians of all ages. Viet Cultural Festival’s unique approach is to appeal to a wider audience and create greater support and demand for other festivals in the future. Viet Cultural Festival will be featuring the cultures of Vietnam’s three regions: north, central, and south through cultural exhibitions. The festival’s theme will surround the Mid-Autumn holiday with a program featuring a traditional lantern contest, a children’s national costume contest, a teen pageant, a Phở eating contest, cultural games, and other various tournaments and contests. In addition to featuring local and national Vietnamese-owned businesses and restaurants, we will also provide community services throughout the festival including a free health fair and legal consultations. Viet Cultural Festival will be a fun-filled day for families to immerse in the richness of the Vietnamese culture. The event is expected to have 7,000 - 8,000 people in attendance. Sponsorship and vendor opportunities are available. For more information, please visit our website at vietculturalfest.org or email us at email@example.com. Viet Cultural Festival is funded in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance and is underwritten by our title sponsor: Kim Son Restaurant and Mama La’s Kitchen.
