DACAMERA continues its virtual fall season with the launch of *Hearing Color, Seeing Time: DACAMERA at the Menil Collection.* The new series presents top artists performing specially curated repertoire in the galleries of Houston’s Menil Collection, a Renzo Piano-designed museum that is home to superlative collections art. In each installment, DACAMERA Artistic Director Sarah Rothenberg will bring viewers inside the galleries of the Menil for performances and discussions about music and art, allowing audiences to experience unexpected connections between the way we listen and what we see. On Tuesday, Oct. 20, Helen Frankenthaler’s 1973 painting becomes the dramatic backdrop for Rothenberg’s performance of Une barque sur l’ocean (1905), a sensuous solo piano work by Maurice Ravel. Rothenberg then leads audiences, from the piano, in a spontaneous discussion of color, line, texture and harmony in abstract painting and music. Register for the event here (
