Following the success of Houston’s Churrascos and Americas’ restaurants, the Cordua family branched out again in 1999 with Amazon Grill—a fast-casual Latin cuisine concept. Located just south of Highway 59, along Kirby Drive, Amazon remains a popular, counter-service destination for West U families and the professional set, alike.
The moderately-priced eatery sends out creative Latin cuisine (puffy tacos, enchiladas and Yuca fries) for the adults and approachable items like quesadillas and popcorn chicken for the kids. Snag a basket of the Cordua’s signature plantain chips with chimichurri sauce to snack on until your meal arrives, but don’t spoil your appetite. The tres leches is worth saving room for or, opt for the fun-filled, kid-approved tabletop s’mores. The campfire favorite comes with marshmallows, milk chocolate and graham crackers, along with a mini grill for DIY treats.
Amazon Grill is open for lunch and dinner, daily.
