Building off the success of his Coco Pazzo, chef Frederic Perrier opened Aura Brasserie in Sugar Land Town Center in December 2012.
A native of Lyon, France, Perrier trained under several well-known French chefs and went on earn accolades as executive chef of the Midtown Manhattan restaurant La Cite. He moved to Houston and opened Grill 5115 and later Café Perrier. He describes his latest venture in the Houston suburbs as “innovative American with an inch of French.”
The menu though seems quite French influenced with items such as Presse de Confit de Canard, or pressed duck sandwich with St. Andre cheese and figs, and the Jarret de Porc, a crispy 12-hour pork shank served with Dijon mustard.
Aura Brasserie is open for lunch and dinner and offers an extensive wine list.
