Native Houstonians and bar veterans Robby and Chieko Cook have reopened their upscale drinkery Barringer Bar, after leaving its original location a few blocks away. Though the bar has a new home, it still unfolds inside a nearly 150-year-old building, which previously served as the Houston Dry Goods and Notion warehouse.
Enter through the unassuming front door to find a true speakeasy-style gem, known for its high-end classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned or Sazerac. Not a whisky drinker? Beer, wine and other libations are on offer for customers looking to unwind in the cozy space. Live music, DJs, and other varying forms of entertainment are shared throughout the week and weekend.
