A new contemporary eatery, Bistecca Italian Steakhouse, has joined the popular Westheimer strip alongside Houston favorites like Underbelly and Uchi. The modern and boldly-designed 100-seat venue provides an intimate space where guests can expect family style Italian cuisine in an upscale atmosphere.
Start with light bites off of the “raw” menu before diving into heartier dishes. Choose from cold water oysters, Ahi Tuna with lemon crème-fresh and coriander or diver scallops with mango caviar and cucumber. Step it up with an appetizer like Rabbit Roulade, grilled lamb T-Bone and mint relish, or steak and quail egg with black truffle.
The vegetables and pastas are served separate to allow each guest their choice of meat. Cooked in a Tuscan/Northern Italian fashion, the focus is on the perfect cut, marinade and grill. And with over 12 marinades to choose from and a variety of seafood, poultry and beef, satisfying even the pickiest taste buds isn’t a problem. The signature dish is Bistecca Fiorentina, created for sharing and served in 24, 36 and 60-ounce sizes.
The restaurant accepts reservations and is open Monday through Saturday for dinner service.
