Chef Joey Galluzzi earned a name for himself on the national scene as a contestant on the TV show America’s Next Great Restaurant. Now he’s opened a restaurant in the Downtown Tunnels that focuses on one thing—his famous meatballs.
From spaghetti and meatballs to meatball subs, Brooklyn Meatball Company serves up these Italian morsels every which way. Galluzzi handles it all in the kitchen, personally overseeing each customer’s order. Try the spicy marina with your choice of pasta (the rigatoni is quite good).
The meatballs are made three ways: traditional beef, turkey or eggplant—the latter two for those looking for a slightly healthier option.
