In fall 2016, globe-trotting entrepreneurs Keisha and Ryan Hazen traded in the corporate grind in favor of Cafeza, a Spanish-influenced coffeehouse set in the First Ward. In their new venture, the husband-wife team blends international influence with Texas charm.
Taking a cue from Argentinian cafecerias—cafes where small plates are served alongside drinks—Cafeza serves craft espresso drinks, Latin cocktails and tapas-style bar bites like tacos, Spanish churros, empanadas and pastries. From breakfast and lunch through dinner and late-night, guests can expect an unpretentious, linger-worthy spot that is great for knocking out a few emails or catching up with friends at the end of the day.
Cafeza is open Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday through Saturday, 6 a.m. to midnight; and Sunday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
