The same culinary talent that opened Houston’s Argentina Café in 2009 expanded their reach in fall 2016, adding Che Inka to the city’s thriving River Oaks area. The concept brings more South American flavors to the city, in made-from-scratch entrees that channel Argentina and Peru.
The space, which unfolds in a former Los Cucos location, has welcomed a redesign that is contemporary and inviting with rich wood accents and understated artwork hanging on the walls. On the menu, regulars love the Arroz con mariscos, chorizo and steaks, as well as the empanadas, which are crafted from an old family recipe. If possible, save room for the alfajor filled with rich dulce de leche and rolled in coconut flakes.
Che Inka is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
