Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House established itself as the go-to spot around the country for quality steak in a traditional atmosphere. Now, the company behind that chain has brought its newer and slightly more casual concept, Del Frisco’s Grille to trendy West Ave.
Focused in equal measure on both food and drink, Del Frisco’s Grille is a great spot to meet up with friends—and share a plate. The bar is high-energy and perfectly set for creative cocktails while the patio provides a great spot to watch the action at Westheimer and Kirby.
The menu is a mix of knife and fork favorites (veal meatloaf, chicken confit, filet mignon) and seafood (shrimp and grits, blackened Texas redfish). Throw in a few two-fisted sandwiches like the lamb burger and salads like the kale and brussel sprouts and you’ve got a great mix. Most entrees are under $25, making the Grille a fun and affordable hotspot.
Definitely try the Tennessee Peach cocktail: Jack Daniels, fresh peaches, honey and lime juice.
