Charcuterie boards and paninis have replaced frozen yogurt in a small Highland Village spot.
Drexel House opened in November 2013 behind Crate & Barrel in the Highland Village shopping center. Diners are discovering a casual eatery with a slightly upscale menu featuring unique offerings such as tamarind-spiked calamari, five-spice scallops and a chicken, pear walnut and truffle oil pizza. An extensive wine menu bolsters Drexel’s wine bar tag line.
The interior is sleek and contemporary, designed by Julie McGarr who also dreamed up the look of Coppa Ristorante and Brasserie 19 among others. The restaurant offers only handful of tables inside. That’s ok. You may want to sit outside and watch the bustle of pedestrian shoppers navigating this busy center.
