Following the highly successful launch of Rice Village's Helen Greek Food & Wine, Chef William Wright and owner Evan Turner have turned their sites on the Heights, opening a more casual, taverna-style hangout at Helen in the Heights.
Despite being cut from the same Greek cloth, Helen in the Heights will be significantly different from the well-known Rice Village spot, focusing on classic dishes like Pastitsio with pasta, spiced beef, tomato, and béchamel; a wide variety of Soulvlakis & Gyros (Lamb, Beef, Shrimp, Pork, and Feta-Brined Chicken); Moussaka and other traditional Greek staples. The new menu will also feature some of the original Helen hits such as the Greek Village Salad, Shrimp Saganaki, and the Green-n-Cheese Pie. These classic dishes serve as a culinary exploration of modern Greek cuisine.
Helen’s dynamic beverage program will be anchored by a 100% Greek wine list with every bottle priced at $80 or less and all of them available by the glass.
