Apparently, size doesn’t matter at downtown’s Hubcap Grill. The pint-sized burger joint packs ’em into the tiny interior for fresh, never-frozen burgers, toasted buns and sweet potato fries.
Located next door to the Alden Hotel, the Hubcap Grill opened in late 2008, catering to downtown’s ravenous lunch crowd. Go for menu stand outs like the Muffalletta Burger with housemade olive-mix dressing and special mayo sauce with swiss cheese or the Sticky Burger with peanut butter, bacon and American cheese. Skip the regular fries in favor of the perfectly-crispy sweet potato variety.
Know before you go: Hubcap accepts cash only, so come prepared. Dining space also comes at a premium—plan to sit at the side bar, on the patio or get it to-go.
