Fresh from London, Il Mascalzone has hopped the pond to Houston. Created by former Italian Olympic boxer Andrea Magi’s, the restaurant promises homemade pizzas and pastas, prepared using premium and (mostly) organic ingredients.
The company’s first U.S. location is set in west Houston and features a space age MaranaForni Pizza oven—the only one of its kind in the country. The rotating Italian oven cooks with both gas and wood and produces thin, perfectly crisp pizzas topped with everything from eggplant and zucchini to mixed seafood and salami. Seafood entrees, pasta dishes and traditional Italian desserts also shine on Il Mascalzone’s menu.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily.
