Luv Me Tenders takes fried chicken to the next level. The Houston-centric chicken restaurant started off as a food truck run by Chef Jason Hill of H-Town StrEATs and Hugs & Donuts. Soon his signature chicken recipe gained a large cult following that had Houstonians tracking him down just to get their chicken fix. The brick and mortar location neighbors a Shell gas station and the popular Barbecue Inn making the area a go-to for good street food.
Chef Hill’s modest menu features ahis signature fired chicken tenders with your choice of a variety of house-made dipping sauces. He also includes chicken tacos and sandwiches like the “Hot Mess” with tenders, nacho cheese, guacamole, jalepeno, lettuce and pico de gallo. His chicken and waffles menu will soon expand with sweet and savory options like toasted marshmallow and melted chocolate. Off-menu, guests can find crab hush puppies, chicken tender poutine, boudain egg rolls, and gelato pops from locally raised goats’ milk from All We Need Farm.
Don’t let this small location fool you. At Luv Me Tenders, you’re in for a fresh and funky update on an familiar favorite.
