It’s hard to miss the Tabiano Paint horse grazing outside Midtown’s Natachee’s Supper ‘n Punch. The brown and white creature, which belongs to one of the restaurant’s co-owners, is a quirky indication of the fun that awaits inside the pistachio-green building.
Set along the METRORail, just a few doors down from Continental Club, Natachee’s opened in early October 2010, serving classic comfort food like meatloaf sandwiches, fried pickles and biscuits and country gravy—although, many would argue that Natachee’s burgers are the real menu all-stars.
Inside, eclectic, down home décor rules the roost. Random antiques dot the interior, pop art prints hang on buttercream walls and a long shuffleboard table sits near the front door. In the middle of the space, a barn-like structure serves as a make-shift bar and a prime perch for snagging a cold Lone Star.
Hours of operation are Monday 10am-2:30pm, Tuesday-Thursday 10am-10pm, Friday and Saturday 10am-10:30pm, and Sunday 10am-6pm.
