Obsidian Theater is a unique black box theater nestled in the historic Heights.

Established in 2010, the theater offers a wide range of performances, from classic musicals to new works by Houston playwrights and everything in between. The intimate space is ideal for audiences looking for an up-close-and-personal performance.

In its young existence, Obsidian has already garnered a name for itself in local theater circles, cited as the best new arts venue of 2011 by the Houston Press racking up multiple awards from the same publication for its 2014 staging of Ruined by Lynn Nottage.
