Armed with a degree from the Art Institute of Houston’s Baking and Pastry program—and three years of hands-on experience interning at the Houston Country Club—Chef Vanessa O’Donnell took a sweet leap of faith in opening her Katy-set boutique bakery, Ooh La La, in 2007.
Located in the Cinco Ranch area, the comfortably-inviting spot is spacious with treat-filled pastry cases, bistro-style seating and cozy overstuffed chairs. Outside, the patio adds al fresco appeal and provides a prime perch for enjoying of Ooh La La’s complimentary wifi. Choose from tempting displays of cookies, cakes and pies, as well as truffles and daily cupcake specials like the peanut butter cup and the s’more—a chocolate cupcake with a marshmallow center and buttercream, graham cracker and toasted-marshmallow topping. For a petite sweet, Ooh La La offers its cupcake flavors in mini-size version, too.
Ooh La La is available for custom orders and can provide delivery service with a $100 minimum purchase.
