Shawn Bermudez, owner of Houston establishments Boondocks, Pistolero’s, Stone’s Throw, and The Burger Joint, has opened his latest venture: Present Company. The retro, Palm Beach-inspired patio bar located in Montrose is stunning with its bright pink, yellow and orange hues, tropical accents, birdcage chandeliers and neon lights.
Present Company offers a cocktail menu as equally attractive as its decor. Stranger Dancer, a mix of watermelon vodka, lime juice, honeysuckle liqueur and watermelon-kiwi soda, is served in a slim LaCroix can. Also try the Plan Bee, a concoction of bourbon, Italian liqueur, honey and jalapeño, or the Twice shy coconut water rum, Falernum and pineapple juice.
The menu, which includes plenty of bar snacks like nachos and queso fries, as well as salads, burgers and pizzas is in the hands of The Burger Joint’s Matthew Pak.
The bar is open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to midnight, on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m., on Fridays from noon to 2 a.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
