An American-style brewpub has descended upon the historic Heights neighborhood and brings with it an enticing rustic menu focused on an in-house charcuterie program and craft beer selection. Ritual is situated at a popular intersection of White Oak Blvd. and Studemont St., where live music at Fitzgerald’s, restaurants and bars draw crowds of pedestrians eager to kick back with friends.
Ritual serves both lunch and dinner and offers a menu inspired by Texas, from the Gulf Coast and the South Texas Valley. For lunch grab a sandwich like The Angry Bird, made with fried chicken breast, cayenne pepper rub, maple glaze, pickles and smoked garlic aioli. Don’t forget a side of sourdough hush puppies with jalapeno jelly. For dinner, find Southern classics with a “twist” like Boudin corn dogs with sorghum-ipa mustard, pickled okra and celery salad, or Grandbury Gold cheese skillet with green tomato chutney, pecans and pretzel beignets.
At the bar guests will find a wide variety of not only craft beers, but a long list of wines, both by the glass or by the bottle. The restaurant and brewpub is open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
