In addition to its central location in downtown Houston, Royal Graphix Fine Art boasts an industrial-chic gallery with pieces that have been shown on the national stage. Housed inside the Nabisco Building, this former cookie factory’s 1910 brick walls are now lined with eclectic works of art and handmade sculptures positioned throughout the space.
Owner Alvin Roy of Royal Graphix Fine Art spent eight years in the military, then began a promising career in the legal field when his infant son Ezra was diagnosed with Down syndrome. Alvin had a passion for art and was determined to make a positive impact on his son’s life; thus, transitioned into an art career and taught his son how to draw and paint to provide him a medium for self-expression.
Born from the shared passion of this father-son duo, the venue is so much more than just another art studio. With its history, significance and fashion-forward décor serving as a backdrop, there is no shortage of conversation pieces to be had at this active gallery.
