At the first Houston outpost of Dallas-based chain Shell Shack, diners can get a seafood boil made their way.
Customers start out by picking their seafood. Options include king crab, dungeness crab, snow crab, shrimp or crawfish (when in season). Then, they choose from a handful of seasonings that include cajun, lemon pepper and garlic. Next, they decide how hot they want their seafood, from no heat to diablo, and whether they want to add any sides. Then, they’re ready to enjoy.
Located on Washington Avenue in a two-story building, this fun, casual restaurant also has a patio to enjoy outdoor dining and a cocktail, and plenty of TVs for sports fans to enjoy games.
Shell Shack is open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
