Saleem Fernandez—one of the names behind other Houston nightlife concepts including Roosevelt and The Drinkery —has taken over Washington Avenue's former Sawyer Park location. In its new incarnation, as Social Junkie, fans will find a sports bar lounge offering up burgers, dancing and, of course, plenty of game watching.
Inside the two-story venue, guests will find a contemporary, high-end lounge with ample seating on the first floor, as well as flat screen TVs and a large wrap-around bar. Upstairs, fresh-faced professionals take in downtown views and bar bites from the open-air patio. For special events, fans can also rent out one of Social Junkie’s four private rooms, which feature couches, TVs and space for as many as 20 guests.
The spot is open seven days a week.
