Sozo Sushi & Lounge

Sozo, which translates to “creation” in Japanese, is the mantra at Sozo Sushi & Lounge where each dish focuses on the culinary seasons of Japan. The restaurant is the latest to join BLBD Place in Uptown, with neighbors including North Italia, True Food Kitchen and Pesca Seafood.

Start with an assortment of appetizers like the Negima, grilled Rib Eye rolls stuffed with scallion an drizzled with Teriyaki sauce, Carpaccio made with Sea bass and served with homemade spicy ponzu, jalapeno and cilantro, or try the peppercorn tuna salad made with tuna sashimi over fresh mixed salad topped with wasabi mayo and eel sauce.

Sushi, sashimi and maki stick to the traditional side, served simply and with a focus on high quality fish.  For a more fusion experience, head to the signature rolls for items like the Cherry Blossom, made with fresh salmon, tuna and yellow tail, along with spicy sprout, jalapeno and cucumber and served with vinaigrette sauce.

Entrees include seafood, chicken and beef dishes, as well as an assortment of Udon noodle options.
