Springbok is the brainchild of chef Seth Greenburg and Peter Walker, Los Angeles transplants who brought their love of South African cuisine and culture to America’s most diverse metropolitan area in 2014.
Chef Ivan Giani - whose resume includes stints at several Michelin Guide recommended restaurants in New York City - joined the culinary team in 2015, and works with Greenburg to oversee a menu of contemporary creations based on South Africa’s melting pot of African, European, and Asian cultures. Beverage offerings include a robust menu of classic cocktails and an extensive selection of Texas beers on draft.
Springbok is housed in a turn of the century space on Main Street in the heart of downtown Houston, and features original architectural details and vaulted ceilings. Autographed rugby jerseys and exotic game mounts line the walls, and unique amenities include a ping pong table, covered patio and surround sound system.
