Rice Village offers countless dining options with fare from all over the world. Sud Italia transports diners to the coast of Southern Italy. Owner Shanon Scott and Chef Seles Romero (both formerly of Arturo’s Uptown Italiano) draw inspiration from their many years refining Italian cuisine. From a whole Mediterranean sea bass carved tableside to a perfect New York steak with a balsamic reduction over a bed of radicchio, the menu offers the best of authentic Italian fare.
The large 2,600-sq.-ft. bungalow hosts 20 tables inside along with 9 café-style tables on a beautiful patio. The small space offers an intimate setting for anything from a romantic date to a larger family dinner. Two separate dining rooms are available for private parties. A small bar seating 7 keeps the rustic flavor of Sud Italia and offers over 60 all-Italian wines and Italian beers.
Sud Italia is open for lunch and dinner all week. There is no parking lot but street parking and valet are available.
