Benjy Levit, owner of Benjy’s and Local Foods, has brought a new neighborhood restaurant, The Classic - All Day, to Washington Avenue. Located in the old home of the Washington Ave. Benjy’s, this no-fuss restaurant offers simple but delicious dishes all day. The space has been revamped so it has a more airy, retro feel with a few standalone tables, banquettes, booths and counter seating available.
Whether you’re looking for breakfast, a soup and sandwich or a tasty dinner, The Classic All Day features American dishes that everyone will love like a burger, rotisserie chicken and a cobb salad. But chefs Mike Potowski and Maria Gonzalez’s have also included dishes influenced by their heritage and travels for those looking for other options.
On the menu you’ll find dishes like the Russian-inspired pelmeni dumplings, Israeli breakfast, and potato latkes with apple agridulce, creme fraiche and chives. A well thought out wine and cocktail list round out the restaurant’s offerings.
The Classic All Day is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
