Midtowners craving burgers and whiskey welcomed a new dining option in July 2012 with the opening of The Refinery—a come-as-you-are burger and whiskey concept.
Nestled on West Dallas—along the border of Downtown and Midtown—the burger joint pays homage to Houston’s fuel-focused past with old petroleum signs marking the interior, an always-evolving mural adorning the exterior and a logo inspired by the city’s iconic petroleum companies. The menu also plays up the big oil theme with burger monikers like the Spindletop, High Octane and Red Adair, all of which pair nicely with one of The Refinery’s craft brew options or whiskey selections.
