After operating for more than a decade as Trevisio, the Texas Medical Center’s fine dining option switched gears in 2016, renovating, rebranding and reopening as Third Coast. Located on the top of John P. McGovern Commons, the restaurant and conference space bares a new look and new culinary lean that reflects the city’s diversity and multi-cultural influences.
Under the direction of award-winning executive chef Jon Buchanan, who enjoyed time behind the stoves of Café Annie and Rainbow Lodge, guests can expect a wide variety of premium seafood and meat options, as well as vegetarian selections. Take a seat in the main dining space or on the terrace and enjoy the poke small plate with ahi tuna, avocado, mango, toasted coconuts and sesame seeds. Other popular items include the braised Asian spice short ribs, Berkshire pork tenderloin and the hamburger on a challah bun.
Third Coast is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and dinner-only, Saturday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant is also available for banquet and catering services.
