Verts Kebap - Washington Heights

Berliners Michael Heyne and Dominik Stein studied business together at the University of Texas at Austin, where they bonded over shared cravings for food from their native Germany–especially a certain popular street food. Their cravings turned into a business idea: bring the Döner Kebap to Austin. Today, the duo’s fast-casual restaurant chain, Verts Kebap, has since expanded to the Houston market, along with Dallas and San Antonio. The rapidly-expanding biz already has a half-dozen Houston locations, all of which share a similar design-savvy aesthetic that mixes stone, metal and wood accents, along with the company’s signature punch of red. On the menu, guests will find a start, fill, finish model that allows diners to customize their selection with different breads, tortilla, fillings and sauces, all of which have less than 550 calories. Verts Kebap is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
