The Sugar Land Skeeters are the 2016 Atlantic League Champions.
An American professional baseball team in the Freedom Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, the Skeeters have called Constellation Field home since the 2012 season. Having entered the league as an expansion team in 2010, the Skeeters are the first of a series of planned western division teams. In addition to being the first independent league baseball team in the Greater Houston area, they are also the city of Sugar Land's first baseball team of its kind.
Constellation Field opened on April 26, 2012 and doubles as a concert venue, a collegiate baseball venue and a host to other sports teams. The field is ideal for families and includes a play area and splash pad for children to use throughout the games.
