If you think you know what to expect from Willie G’s, think again. Houston Rockets owner and famed restaurateur, Tillman Fertitta, has a revamped take on his longstanding seafood restaurant. Willie G’s at The Post Oak Hotel in Uptown Park is designed with an industrial glam aesthetic in mind. Complimenting the new 5-star hotel, the restaurant has modern industrial decor with dark wood, black granite countertops and exposed brick.
The menu showcases diverse seafood offerings where the raw bar highlights not only sushi, but an array of Gulf and East Coast oysters, crudo and poke. Classics like seared salmon, char-grilled salt prawns and blackened scallops will also be available. Guests can look forward to a daily menu that includes fresh fish flown in from around the world - and they can order it anyway they want - blackened, broiled, fire grilled or fried.
Willie G’s is also debuting a new craft cocktail program and extensive wine collection that will be shared with Mastro’s, a sister restaurant, from The Cellar at The Post Oak. The collection contains some 20,000 vintages hailing from 25 different countries.
Willie G’s is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
