Houston First operates the city's finest arts and convention facilities to position Houston as a world-class destination. These facilities include the George R. Brown Convention Center, Miller Outdoor Theatre, Wortham Theater Center, Jones Hall for the Performing Arts and Hilton Americas-Houston as well as smaller theaters, plazas and parking facilities. New projects under way are the 1,000-room Marriott Marquis hotel scheduled to open in June 2016, the Sunset Coffee Building at Allen's Landing, and the combined office building and parking garage currently under construction just north of the GRB.
Houston First is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operations of these properties. Some of our routinely ordered items are office supplies, tools, vehicles, audio and stage lighting equipment, furniture, maintenance and cleaning supplies. Required services include security, landscaping, window cleaning, power washing, janitorial, food and beverage, lighting and sound equipment maintenance, printing and more.
