Sunset Coffee Building
As Houston’s first port, Allen’s Landing became a thriving commercial hub and symbol of our city’s entrepreneurial spirit.
About Sunset Coffee Building
In a city where it seems everyone is from somewhere else, it might surprise natives and transplants alike to learn that Houston is a city founded on a waterway. Read More

The Sunset Coffee Building sits on Allen’s Landing, the "Plymouth Rock" of Houston. It has existed as a coffee roasting company, concert venue and public space. Now, through a partnership between Houston First Corporation and Buffalo Bayou Partnership, it starts a new chapter for Downtown Houston and all Houstonians.

Starting on the ground level, it will feature boat and bike rentals allowing Houstonians to explore the beauty of Buffalo Bayou. It will also offer the Sunset Cafe, a coffee shop with a charming balcony overlooking the convergence of Buffalo and White Oak Bayous, the site of the original Port of Houston. The Buffalo Bayou Partnership comes home to the Bayou on Sunset Coffee Building's second level.

The Sunset Coffee Building also offers two outdoor event spaces for rental. The Rooftop Plaza offers beautiful views of the bayou and Downtown Houston, and is available for cocktail receptions and other special events. The Plaza, located at ground level, is also available for larger outdoor events.

The Sunset Coffee Building is the newest building in Downtown Houston’s Historic District, and will become a new, iconic gathering place as a tribute to Houston’s past, present and future.
