Everyone knows Houston is a major international city. So it might be a little surprising that there hasn't been a hostel for international travelers?until now.
Situated in the heart of Montrose, the new HI-Houston: Morty Rich HI Hostel aims to lure more young travelers to the fourth largest city in the U.S. The dormitory-style lodging option is ideal for travelers looking to experience unique places on a budget.
The 53-bed hostel is located in what was until recently the Lovett Inn, a beautiful building on Lovett Street in a tree-lined section of Montrose. Two private rooms are available--one suite with a private balcony and one family-style private room with bunk beds. Rooms range from a four bed dorm-style room to an eight bed room with a shared bath.
Already, guests from as far away as Japan and Wales have stayed in the new spot, which opened in late September and is located within walking distance of several restaurants, coffee shops, nightlife and Houston's light rail line.
