Spindle Tap Brewery

Paying homage to the famous Spindletop gusher which brought about the Texas Oil Boom, Spindletap Brewery is now open and booming with barrels of craft beer.

The brewery, located just 15 minutes northeast of downtown, features an expansive taproom perfect for private parties. Head to the back room where guests can get an up close look at where the beer is made. Outfitted with a projector, entertainment options won't be an issue as guests lounge on picnic tables and sample beer. Just outside of the taproom, the front room is set up with bar space to showcase Spindletap beers. For entertainment, there are ten flat-screen televisions behind the bar and five more around the space, which means there is not a bad seat in the house.

For timid beer drinkers, the Boomtown Blonde is a light and refreshing starter. Move your way down the list and you'll find bolder beverages like the Hopper House Double IPA and the Honey Hole ESB.

Packaged beers should soon be available in major retailers, but in the meantime the taps are flowing at the brewery.
