The 1,200-room Hilton Americas-Houston, a 24-story state-of-the-art convention hotel, is connected via skybridge to the George R. Brown Convention Center.
The Hilton hotel also offers a comprehensive UPS Store business center, The Cafe restaurant, Lobby Bar, Java Jive @ 1600 coffee emporium and the Skyline Spa & Health Club. The hotel offers 91,500 square feet of meeting space, including a 40,000 square foot ballroom.
The hotel wrapped an $11 million renovation of its guest rooms and meeting spaces in 2011. The property now offers redesigned accommodations, an updated executive lounge and upgraded corridors and meeting spaces.
The Hilton Americas was the first property in the state to receive Green Seal certification. In addition to low-energy fixtures and energy-saving lightbulbs, the Hilton has an extensive recycling program that includes everything from kitchen oil to cardboard to fluorescent bulbs.
Hilton Americas-Houston is located across the street from Discovery Green park, next door to Toyota Center and two blocks from Minute Maid Park.
