The SaberCats Experience

Houston's Rugby Team

The Houston SaberCats, one of seven teams in the Major League Rugby (MLR) league, made its home in Houston in 2018. The team began its inaugural home season January 2018 at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, where the team remained until AVEVA Stadium opened in 2019. The team began in 2017 as the Houston Strikers, but rebranded themselves when they joined the Major League Rugby as one of the founding teams.
