When the summer has ended and the cooler temps make their way into our tropical climate, there is nothing like cuddling up with friends and loved ones to watch a movie. The Uptown/Galleria area is now offering a particularly unique experience, and it comes with a view. The Rooftop Cinema Club is now open and there isn’t anything else quite like it.
There are only five rooftop cinema clubs in the world and Houston is the first in the south. Set atop BLVD Place at 1700 Post Oak Blvd, the club lets you catch the stars on film under the stars in the sky. Each night offers a unique viewing experience that is something a little more nostalgic than your typical new releases. Guests are given wireless headphones to ensure high quality audio and they can choose between lounge seats or love seats to enjoy the movie in. If you’re hungry, grab a bite provided by Good Dog or enjoy the full bar if you get thirsty.
The movies vary from night to night so make sure to check the website to find the perfect film for you. Buy tickets early as they tend to sell out well in advance. Showtime usually takes place after sunset (around 7:30pm), but if it’s is too light outside expect a short delay. It is recommended that you show up about 45 minutes ahead if you want to maximize your experience.
