League City Proud
From December 1 to December 3, League City hosts its 20th Annual Holiday In The Park celebration. This annual event features a movie under the oaks, shopping, parades and lots of fun. On Friday , December 1 in the evening, enjoy a holiday movie with your family under the oaks of League Park. Then stroll through the beautifully decorated park and do some holiday shopping. On Saturday, December 2, don’t miss the Children’s Parade at 10 a.m., and later enjoy The Grand Night Parade as it marches through the streets of League City featuring a bevy of gorgeous floats. The event wraps up on Sunday with the Annual Costume Contest & Pet Parade at 1 p.m.
Sailing into the Holidays
The 56th Annual Christmas Boat Lane Parade is the highlight of the holiday season in Bay Area Houston. On Saturday, December 9, watch as hundreds of brightly lit boats make their way around Clear Lake and through the Clear Lake Channel in front of the Kemah Boardwalk. More than 100,000 people enjoy this beautiful parade every year.
Gingerbread and Santa Claus
Every year, in mid-November the head chef at South Shore Harbour Resort unveils his newest gingerbread creation in the lobby of the resort. Chef Roland Kyburz’s famous 6-foot-tall gingerbread house is a holiday tradition for many families around Bay Area Houston. South Shore Harbour Resort also hosts a “Breakfast with Santa” on Saturday, December 9 in their Paradise Reef restaurant from 9 to 11 a.m.
Jingle on the Boardwalk
A fun tourist destination, the Kemah Boardwalk offers fun family activities every weekend in December. From December 2 to December 24, it celebrates the season with Santa, holiday music, movies, parades and more.
