Jo’s Coffee, an iconic Bunkhouse Hotels' coffee shop, celebrates Valentine’s Day by showing its love to Houston with the inauguration of its first out-of-Austin location in H-Town on February 14.

Founded in 1999, Jo’s is known for its coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast tacos. It proudly brews its own blend of La Colombe Coffee and is home to the Iced Turbo coffee beverage, a drink with coffee, espresso, hazelnut, chocolate, and cream that has developed a cult following.

Located in the historic Houston Heights neighborhood (1023 Studewood Street), Jo’s Houston boasts a signature combination of iconic and industrial furniture found at Jo’s Coffee locations throughout Austin, including custom millwork and a bar die featuring beautiful terra cotta tile from the Austin-based tile company Clay Imports.

In addition to vintage pieces such as timeless Tolix Chairs, Bunkhouse Hotels stayed close to its Austin roots, sourcing custom interior and exterior furniture from RAD Furniture, a sustainably focused company that was founded down the street from the original Jo’s location on South Congress.

With architecture by Hip.Hop.Design Studio, who also collaborated with Bunkhouse Hotels on the interior design, the exteriors include a quaint seating area with floor-to-ceiling windows and the classic Jo’s red globe sign, bringing the brand’s signature style to Houston.

Coffee enthusiasts will love Jo’s medium roast coffee with notes of milk chocolate, nuts, and honey, that can be enjoyed as a drip or espresso coffee, or in their signature drinks, such as the Iced Turbo on draft, a beverage with coffee, espresso, hazelnut, chocolate and cream.

Don't miss The Bungalow, with vanilla, cayenne, cinnamon, espresso, and milk. This is Jo's Houston's new signature drink, exclusive to this location. It is inspired by the bungalow-style homes found throughout the neighborhood. This is a real love sign to all coffee fans in Houston!

Alongside a vast drink selection, including soft liquors such as beer and frosé, the brand’s beloved breakfast tacos and fresh, locally made pastries can be enjoyed all day.

On inauguration day, they pour free drip coffee all day. Just show up! Plus, the first 30 guests get a limited-edition Turbo Lovers poster to commemorate the special occasion.

Even if you miss the opening day perks, visit when you can and show your love to the brand whose tagline says it all: “i love you so much!”.
