You aren’t going to find any brunches on this list. This is a man’s list – full of things you’re going to want to check out to have the epic Father’s Day you’ve earned this year after mowing the lawn, taking out the trash and coaching a little league team into the championship. You deserve this.

Father’s Day at the Kemah Boardwalk

You’re not like other Dads. You’re a cool Dad, so don’t waste your Father’s Day sitting on the couch or at a stuffy celebration. Get ready to find some thrills at Kemah Boardwalk on Sunday, June 17th from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. when all Dads receive a FREE All-Day Ride Pass (with the purchase of an All-Day Ride Pass). Impress your kids with your bravery on the Boardwalk Bullet or any of the other rides throughout the Boardwalk.

Afterwards enjoy a nice dinner at any of the boardwalk restaurants including: Saltgrass Steakhouse, Landry’s Seafood House, Cadillac Bar or Bayside Grille.

Fish along Lake Conroe

Why not combine all your favorite things for your special day? We’re talking about swimming, grilling and fishing in Conroe, of course! Pack up your family for a day at Lake Conroe Park where you can enjoy the fishing pier before you fire up one of the grills onsite for some of your world-famous hamburgers. Kids are sure to have a blast at the swim beach or on one of many volleyball play areas or the softball field.

Don’t feel like cooking? Make plans to eat a relaxing lunch or dinner at Sam’s Boat Restaurant overlooking Lake Conroe.

A Good Walk Spoiled

Want the day to yourself? Just 19 miles east of Houston is the Battleground Golf Course, an 18-hole, 72-par facility located in Deer Park. With a championship layout, this course is sure to test even the most seasoned players (hence why you may spoil your nice walk).

Kids are welcome too at this course which boasts varied tee lengths to ensure that novice players enjoy the rounds just as much as their Dads. But novices and seasoned players alike will also benefit from the course’s incredible practice facility complete with a 3-hole practice loop and a lighted driving range.
