Tiger Den

Located in Dung Huang Plaza, Tiger Den is Houston’s first Japanese Ramen and Yakitori Bar. The broth alone takes a day and a half which might be why people flock to the door at opening time (5:00 p.m.) Be sure to add your name to the list on the wall outside the restaurant as soon as you arrive.

Bubble Egg

Stop by for an authentic Hong Kong egg waffle in H-Town. Bubble Egg is a specialty Asian Café with both savory and sweet waffles with locations in Katy, Garden Oaks, and Bellaire. For something decadent, go for the Bubble Oreo with rainbow mochi, oreo, and condensed milk.

Dumpling Haus

Don't let the name fool you. Tucked behind the Silos, Dumpling Haus has noodle soup and rice bowls along with their variety of dumplings. The red chili-oil wontons can't be missed. Even better, order some broth and pour in the extra chili oil - you can thank us later.

Xin Chao

You'll be making several visits to Xin Chao once you see the menu. Be sure to try the Masterchef winning entree - Braised Pork & Crispy Rice - which Co-Executive Chef Christine Ha used to impress the notoriously critical Gordon Ramsay on Season 3. You also won't want to miss Chef Ha's first Houston restaurant, The Blind Goat, downtown in Bravery Hall.

Aqua S

While this creative soft-serve shop did not originate in H-Town, we love it all the same. You’ll really feel as if you’re in heaven with the sugar spun cotton candy clouds. For something salty and sweet, order the Sea Salt.
