LOVE AT FIRST BITE

Celebrate the holiday with a lovely dinner for two at an amazing Houston restaurant. The Houston and Gulf Coast-inspired State of Grace restaurant in River Oaks awaits you and your loved one on February 14th with Executive Chef Bobby Matos' special dine-in menu for $125 per person. This menu includes divine caviar service, foie gras and bone marrow terrine, snapper crudo, squid ink corzetti, oak roasted tuna, prime filet and lobster tail, champagne float, chocolate tart and much more. You can also select savory dishes from their delivery and curbside pick-up menu to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.


Miason Pucha Bistro

Executive Chef Manuel Pucha’s Maison Pucha Bistro is a French restaurant with Ecuadoran and South American influences located in the historic Houston Heights neighborhood. This Valentine’s Day receive a complimentary bottle of bubbles with a delicious four-course menu for $84.95 per person. Start dinner with your choice of smoked salmon, duck a l’orange, callos de hacha, beef bourguignon and end with a heart-shaped chocolate mousse. The Valentine’s Day menu and a limited à la carte menu will be available February 12th, 13th and 14th. A take-out dinner option is also available.

Experience a Mediterranean Valentine’s Day dinner by the bay at Ouzo Bay in the upscale River Oaks District. Guests can enjoy à la carte chef specials that include Mediterranean Langoustines with Hudson Valley Foie Gras Torchon, topped with Winter Black Truffle or Greek Peppercorn Crusted Prime Filet Mignon with Butter Poached Maine Lobster Tail and Olive Oil Roasted Potatoes. A bottle of bubbles, your favorite Greek wine or signature cocktail makes for a great pairing with your meal. This dinner menu is available February 12th through February 14th. A takeout menu is also available.

This Valentine’s Day enjoy a multi-sensory experience at Musaafer in The Galleria. You’re sure to love their incredible Indian cuisine and Kamasutra-inspired menu with vibrant aphrodisiac dishes that help to connect the mind, body, and spirit. Musaafer is offering a seven-course menu for $110 per person that includes set dosa with beetroot chutney, mushroom mousse, fresh black truffle, almond cracker as an appetizer, kofta with jackfruit, makhani sauce and foxnuts as a main course and cherry and anjeer verrine for dessert. This seven-course menu is available on Sunday, February 14th. There is also an abbreviated five-course menu available on Friday and Saturday.

Say oui to celebrating Valentine’s Day with Downtown Houston’s French restaurant, Brasserie du Parc. This Valentine’s Day you can order cocktail kits to-go! If you love gin, tequila and bourbon, there is a cocktail for you! You can select between three kits like the Hendrick’s Gin Bramble Kit that includes a choice of raspberry or blackberry Hendrick’s Gin, house-made raspberry or blackberry liqueur, Meyer lemon juice sweetened with pure cane sugar, glassware and recipe booklet for $52. Cocktail kits must be ordered 24 hours in advance.

DREAMY DATE NIGHT

A romantic dinner followed by a relaxing staycation is always a great idea. Spoil your valentine by adding a staycation to your Valentine’s Day plans. Downtown’s sleek and modern steakhouse, Guard and Grace is offering a special three-course prix fixe dinner menu for $95 per person on Friday, February 12 through Sunday, February 14. Diners can enjoy the lobster pot pie, beef wellington, and tupelo honey cheesecake. An à la carte menu with Chef Troy Guard’s signature steaks, fresh seafood, charcuterie boards, and vegetable sides will also be available. In addition, receive a $150 gift card when you book the historic Sam Houston Hotel’s “Love at The Sam” package. This package also includes a complimentary shuttle service to and from Guard and Grace, an upgrade to a deluxe guestroom, welcome bottle of champagne and a 2 p.m. late check out. Cafe and bakery Tout Suite in East Downtown will have a full Valentine’s Day collection of sweets and baked goods available for pre-order. The Pavlova meringue dessert is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside filled with fruit compote and topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream. This sweet dessert is available in various sizes from 3” for $7 to 9” for $55. In addition to a variety of beautiful cakes, classic favorites like chocolate covered strawberries, red velvet cupcakes, macarons and heart-shaped rice crispy treats will be featured in the collection. Vegan and gluten free brownie gift boxes are also available so there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy!


El Bolillo Bakery is known for their freshly baked small French baguette-like bolillos and perfect tres leches cakes, but their Mexican sweet bread, croissants, churros and custom cakes have a special place in our hearts too. For Valentine’s Day, you can surprise your valentine with the popular heart-shaped concha sweet bread for 75 cents each and a tray full of bread and pastries for under $5.
