Planning a wedding can be overwhelming but at the Bridal Extravaganza Show this weekend brides can get their planning done all in one place. Now in its 33rd year, the two-day show on July 23 and 24 features more than 400 vendors covering everything you may need for your big day.
“People tell me it’s like Pinterest brought to life, and it is,” said Laurette Veres, the show’s producer. The wide array of vendors offer brides the chance to see floral arrangements, chairs, linens, dresses and other details of their wedding up close and personal. So even if the amount of vendors overwhelms you, visiting them live in one place can help you decide about what you want for your wedding day. Plus, vendors offer special pricing and perks to show attendees.
Other highlights of the show include:
Bridal fashion shows - The show hosts more than 10 fashion shows over the two days. You’ll see the latest trends and get inspiration for you and your bridal party.
Seminars - Learn inside tips from a diverse group of vendors at the show’s Beyond Wedding Basics seminar. You’ll hear from DJs, caterers, photographers, cake designers and event planners about the ins and outs of wedding planning.
Cake tastings - Need we say more? What better than to get a taste of different vendors’ sweet treats in one place.
Veres highly recommends taking Uber to the George R. Brown Convention Center where the show will take place since parking is currently limited due to downtown construction.
General admission tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door (cash only). Seminars are an additional $10. VIP tickets are available online only for $45 and include admission on both days, a VIP-only couture fashion show and goody bag.
