Karbach Brewing Co.

Born in Houston in 2011 but built on brewing techniques from Germany, Karbach Brewing Co. and its beers have found success all along the Gulf Coast. Many beer lovers say that Karbach know how to merge refreshment with complexity. Try their iconic Hopadillo Texas IPA (6.6% ABV). This dry-hopped Texas IPA is loaded with German Magnum, Cascade, Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe, and East Kent Goldings hops. It’s bold, bitter, and built for true IPA lovers. Love Street Blonde (4.9% ABV) is also very popular. A Kölsch-style blonde brewed specifically for the Texas heat, it’s light-bodied with subtle floral notes and a crisp, dry finish. Crawford Bock (4.5% ABV): A smooth, easy-drinking bock made with Munich and caramel malts, perfect for game day or a backyard gathering. This brew also proudly supports the Astros Foundation. 8th Wonder Brewery + Cannabis

2202 Dallas St., Houston, TX 77003

8th Wonder Brewery

Located in East Downtown (EaDo) and named after the city’s iconic Astrodome, this brewery produces seasonal selections and limited-edition offerings. It is best known for its hyper-local, Houston-centric brews, including crisp IPAs and refreshing THC-infused seltzers and mixed drinks. Visitors love the brewery taproom with Astros baseball team memorabilia, picnic tables in a backyard often featuring live music, games, and food trucks. Enjoy the chill, laid-back, and artsy vibe. Practicing their craft in a dome-like warehouse in the shadow of the major sports stadiums, these brewers say they are making Houston's "craft beer for the home team."

Try their Dome Foam, throwback cream ale. This pre-Prohibition-style brew is light and easy-drinking, with a mild hop bitterness. This beer pays homage to the foamy suds once served at the Astrodome. This summer, Wonder Light, premium light lager, with just 100 calories, is back on tap — and it's a taproom exclusive! Haterade, utterly refreshing with citrusy sourness, subtle salinity, and a hint of coriander, is also a taproom exclusive! Find more current taproom offerings here. Come enjoy!

Among many other options, we would like to mention Tejas Brewery & Taproom (Sawyer Yards). It is a local favorite for craft beer, great food, and unbeatable views of the Houston skyline. Eureka Heights Brew Co. (The Heights) is popular for approachable beers, especially its Buckle Bunny cream ale, in a casual setting. Beer fans love Spindletap Brewery (North Houston) for its top-tier, award-winning hazy IPAs and an on-site, family-friendly, huge outdoor area with miniature golf and more. Bad Astronaut Brewing Co. (near Northside) is famous for its distinctive interior and creative, approachable craft beer lineup. In Equal Parts Brewing (East Downtown), frequently cited for its excellent, art-science focused brews, you'll find quality IPAs and stouts.
