Those hoping to find a pot of gold this St. Patrick’s Day should look no further than POST Houston! While the annual parade takes place in Downtown, Post Houston will transform their venue into a friendly-family festival with games, food, Irish performances, an outdoor market, a live band, a scavenger hunt, and more. This year Houston’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade marks its 64th anniversary and kicks off with its fan-favorite celebration at 12pm. The free event takes place in downtown Houston and is a family-friendly option for embracing your inner Irish. Various groups and community members will take to the streets to march along the parade route and registration is open to reserve space to walk, ride a float, or drive a truck and be personally immersed in the experience. The Irish pub on South Shepherd Drive is hosting events throughout the weekend to get your St. Paddy’s Day fix! On March 15, head to Kenneally’s for their St. Patrick’s Day Pre-Party, complete with live music all day, limited special event menu (including the famous Stew & Homemade Guinness Bread and corned beef sandwiches), and more! After recovering from the pre-party, gear up for Kenneally’s 41st Annual St. Patrick’s Day “Under the Tent” Party taking place on March 17. The pub will celebrate “under the tent” with live music all day, the same limited special event menu, and special appearances by Houston’s HFD bagpipers. The world champion Cass-Barrington Irish Stepdancers will delight the crowd at what is sure to be a fantastic event!

The Goose’s Acre Bistro & Irish Pub in The Woodlands, just outside of the Houston city limits, is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Party on March 17. Doors open at 8am with breakfast being served until 11, with lunch and dinner served from 11am to 1am. Live music will delight guests on two stages from 11am to 2am. Irish bagpipers will perform at 12pm and 6pm, while Irish dancers will dazzle those in attendance at 12:30 pm and 8pm. There is a $5 cover charge starting at 2pm when the event transitions to a 21+ party. The celebration is on a first come, first served basis, so get there early and be ready to “cheers” with some green beer!
