Kiddos can get in on the fun and enjoy some enriching activities throughout the day on Saturday, May 3 from 9 am to 5pm. The event, open to all ages, features cascarone-making (colorful confetti eggs), The Aztec Princess by Express Children’s Theater, Joy Goes to Mexico by Young Audiences, and Las Americas Ballet Folklorico. On-going activities throughout the day include musical maraca making and DIY piñatas. Admission to the museum ranges from $0 to $19.95 per person and day passes can be purchased here. Cinco de Mayo at Miller Outdoor Theater is a longstanding tradition. Kicking off at 3pm until 9pm, visitors can enjoy diverse performances, with dance showcases from Mexico at Plaza de Piñata and Plaza de Luchas, and a dedicated kids’ area at Plaza de los Niños. The fiesta runs from Sunday, May 4 from 2 pm to 12 am and Monday, May 5 from 12 pm to 12 am at the bar located at 5802 Fulton St, Houston, TX 77009, and will feature an open patio bar with festive drink specials and commemorative cups. The bar will also offer a frozen Mango Basil Smash and a frozen Northside, as well as all the classic Monkey’s Tail margaritas.
