Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown is the Houston area’s largest water park. The park offers some of the country’s tallest, fastest, and most exciting water rides, a relaxing lazy river, splash pad, and a popular wave pool. Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventure is Houston’s premier family destination! Some of the park’s biggest attractions are the COLORado Racers, the Sabine Scream, Frio Falls, the Rio GRAND River, and more. Looking to dry off after splashing around in the pools? High-thrill rides including a 140-food drop tower, a rotating spinning gondola, and a giant boat swing are just a few options for taking the fun out of the pool and onto dry land. The park is open with hours varying throughout the week.
Whether you’re staying overnight or just visiting for the day, Great Wolf Lodge in Webster, just outside of Houston, offers indoor fun all year round. The 92,000-square-foot indoor water park is kept at 84 degrees year round, making it the perfect indoor escape from the summer heat. Raft rides, pools, water coasters, body slides, playgrounds, drinks and dining, and more all await at this park near the Gulf of Mexico.
Palm Beach at Moody Gardens welcomes visitors to unwind on Galveston’s only white sand private beach. Along with the luxurious beach, guests will enjoy a variety of attractions including a 650-foot lazy river, wave pool, two 18-foot-tall tower slides, and more. This is a one-stop summer spot for guests of all ages to have some fun in the sun on Galveston Island!
Houston’s ultimate waterpark experience awaits at Typhoon Texas Waterpark! The go-to destination in Katy combines high-energy thrills with laid back relaxation for all ages. The park covers 45 acres and includes more than 30 slides, a children's play area, a 25,000-square-foot wave pool, and the state’s longest lazy river. Visitors also have a wide selection of Texas-style dining options including Smoke House BBQ and Taco Shack. Typhoon Texas is open daily with operating dates and times subject to change.
Baytown’s three-acre Pirates Bay is the ultimate water park experience. Open seven days a week, Pirates Bay invites all to drop anchor and enjoy thrilling slides, a relaxing lazy river, and plenty of fun in the sun for your whole crew. The large and colorful park boasts a water playground with a large dumping bucket and an array of spray nozzles, a Flow Rider experience, along with a winding lazy river, a wave pool, and two large slide towers.
Mist Tree at Discovery Green is a focal point of the Sarofim Picnic Lawn. The mist is created by eighty nozzles that form a mist cloud in the bowl of the stainless-steel sculpture, while a circular pan creates a rain curtain around the perimeter. The water is re-circulated and filtered, and it automatically shuts off if the wind threatens to scatter too much water. Gateway Fountain, at Discovery Green, is a fanciful play area that's one of the park’s most popular summer features.
