Galleria/Uptown Things To Do

<< Back to Galleria/Uptown page.

When you think of the Galleria/Uptown area, the first thing which comes to mind: shopping. Mainly because it’s home to The Galleria, the fourth-largest shopping center in North America with more than 400 stores. From high-end stores like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, and Chanel, to affordable shops like H&M and J. Crew, the Galleria has it all.

But what trip to Houston would be complete without getting something a little bit country? Pinto Ranch is a premium Western apparel store selling boots, hats, belts and even saddles. Yes, you read that right, saddles. You may not see a single horse in the city; but it's still Texas, baby.

However, if shopping isn’t your thing, we recommend enjoying a special screening at the Rooftop Cinema Club! Located on top of a building in Uptown, this outdoor movie theater screens cult classics while providing a birds-eye view of the city. It's truly a vibe.

And no trip to this side of Houston is complete without taking in the majesty of the Gerald D. Hines Water Wall. This multi-story fountain is a popular destination for tourists and couples wanting to capture that special moment.

Fun fact:  The Water Wall was constructed to stand 64 feet tall, to pay homage to the 64-story Williams Tower just steps away.
